Release Notes – October 2023 Part 2

Welcome to our latest release notes! This month, we’re excited to introduce four exciting features:  WhatsApp URL Tracking, Private WhatsApp Service Provider, Wix Integration with NotifyVisitors, and Campaign Failure and Discard Reasons. These enhancements are designed to provide you with  improved campaign tracking, greater flexibility in your WhatsApp service provider choices, seamless integrations, and deeper insights. We’re confident that these updates will help you take your campaigns and communication to the next level.

Let’s dive into these updates:

Update 1: Whatsapp URL tracking

This latest feature allows you to shorten URLs for a cleaner and more appealing look in your WhatsApp messages. What’s more, when you enable this feature, NotifyVisitors will track these URLs, providing valuable insights such as total clicks, unique clicks, conversions, revenue generated, and more.

Here’s how to make the most of this feature:

Template creation:

1. Begin by creating a WhatsApp template, following our comprehensive guide on “How to Create a WhatsApp Template.” In the template message section, instead of directly inputting the URL, use a variable like [{1}].

2. When you use a dynamic variable, a “template variables” field will appear. Here, you can define your URL as shown in the image below. Click “Create Template” to save your settings.

Campaign creation:

1. Now, create your whatsapp campaign by following the steps outlined in our guide, “How to Create a WhatsApp Campaign.” While creating, choose the template you’ve just created.

2. In the second content page of your campaign creation, you’ll find your URL in the variables column, as demonstrated in the image below. You can add variables to this URL by clicking on the user icon.

3. Lastly, check the box labeled “Enable Short URL for Click Tracking.” With this done, send your campaign, and your recipients will receive the URL in a shortened format with click tracking enabled.

Please note that only URLs used in the header and message body can be tracked. URLs used in buttons cannot be tracked. This feature is designed to enhance your campaign’s performance and provide you with valuable data to optimize your WhatsApp outreach.

Update 2: Introducing private WhatsApp service provider

We’re excited to announce a new feature that allows you to connect with a private WhatsApp service provider of your choice. If you’re using a WhatsApp service provider that’s not directly integrated with our platform, you can still make use of this feature by manually inputting the API data.

Here’s how to add a private service provider:

Adding a private service provider

1. Navigate to “Settings” and select “WhatsApp.”

2. Choose “Add Service Provider.” A window titled “Add Service Provider” will appear.

3. In the “Select Service Provider” dropdown menu, pick “Private WSP.”

4. Now, you can enter the necessary API details, including the Name, Endpoint URL, Basic Authentication, Body, and Header. Since dynamic variables are often required for options like phone number, language, template name, etc., we’ve simplified this process. Just click on “Choose Token,” select your desired token, and a liquid tag will be automatically added to the body.

5. Once you’ve filled in the required information, click “Save.” Your private service provider will be successfully added to your NotifyVisitors account.

To use this private service provider, simply select it when creating your WhatsApp template

This feature provides you with the flexibility to work with the WhatsApp service provider that best suits your needs, even if it’s not one of our integrated options.

Update 3: Wix integration with NotifyVisitors

Exciting news for Wix store users! We’ve just launched the NotifyVisitors app on the Wix App Market. This integration allows Wix store owners to seamlessly connect their store to our platform and unlock a host of powerful features. These features include customer data management, campaign sending, push notifications, targeted onsite campaigns, automated customer journeys, and much more.

Here’s how you can make the most of this integration:

Integration process:

Update 4: Campaign failure and discard reasons

When it comes to analyzing your campaign’s performance, our system is proficient in accurately tracking and displaying the total number of discarded and failed events. You might already be familiar with this and making the most of it.

However, in our continuous effort to enhance your analysis, our team has introduced an option to delve deeper into the reasons behind these failures and discards. This empowers you to efficiently identify and address the underlying issues, ultimately boosting the deliverability of your campaigns.

To access these detailed reasons, simply navigate to the email analytics section. Once there, click on the “Error Stats” tab. Here, you will find the total counts of discards and failures. For a more comprehensive understanding, scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you will encounter two informative sections: “Discard Reasons” and “Failure Reasons.” These sections will provide valuable insights into the specific factors contributing to the performance outcomes of your campaign.

Discarded reasons:

Here, the reasons for your discarded emails are visually represented in a pie chart with distinct colours. At the bottom of the chart, you’ll find an explanation of what each color represents. If you’re unsure about any error, simply hover your cursor over its name to view a quick definition.

Failure reasons:

In this section, you’ll find a tabular presentation of the causes behind email failures, along with the number of emails impacted by each cause. This format offers a clear breakdown of why certain emails in your campaign may have encountered issues.

Conclusion

From gaining deeper insights into campaign performance to seamlessly integrating NotifyVisitors with your Wix store, tracking WhatsApp URL performance, and even adding your own private WhatsApp service provider, these updates offer versatility and improved capabilities. We’re committed to providing you with the tools you need to excel in your marketing efforts and look forward to seeing how you leverage these powerful features to take your campaigns and outreach to the next level.

Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements in the future as we continue to evolve and improve our platform. In case you have any questions, ideas, or if you’d like to request a demonstration to explore these features further, please feel free to reach out to us at support@notifyvisitors.com.
