The Mobile Number Normalisation feature ensures that all mobile numbers are stored in a consistent, international format by automatically adding the country code (with a plus sign).
Users can enter NotifyVisitors through various sources, such as website visits, form submissions, APIs, or CSV uploads. When users arrive via a website or submit a form, the platform detects their country based on location data and automatically appends the appropriate country code to their mobile number.
However, when importing users via API or CSV, if the country code is not included, then we append the country code based on your brand’s country (the country you’ve selected in your NotifyVisitors account). If the mobile number is not in the correct format according to the country code, it will be accepted as it is (without the country code).
And if mobile number normalisation is not enabled, the platform will still accept mobile numbers even if they lack the country code.
To turn on this feature, go to the Settings section, select the Users tab, and scroll down to the Mobile Number Normalisation section.

Enable the option, and the system will begin standardising mobile numbers automatically based on the user’s detected or configured country.
